Stephens Center Healthy Families

Stephens Center Healthy Families offers home-visitation designed to support prenatal, first-time and teen parents give their children a healthy start in life. Through weekly home visits, the Stephens Center staff members provide emotional support and help parents learn practical skills to cope with the new job of parenting. Stephens Center Healthy Families emphasizes a nurturing relationship between parent and child, developmental activities and screenings, immunizations, well-child check-ups, and school readiness. “Growing Great Kids” evidenced-based curriculum is utilized and all staff are highly trained. The Stephens Center Healthy Families programs are research-based and proven effective. The Center has been accredited since 2011 through Healthy Families America. The Stephens Center provides Healthy Families services in Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith and White Counties.
